Operating in Winnipeg Only

We are all seeing the current devastation in Ukraine and the current refugee crisis.  The need is continuing to grow and many Canadians and people around the world are considering ways they can help.

The Rotary Club of Winnipeg – Charleswood is working to support Ukrainian Refugee families in Canada through the Bridge of Hope Ukraine – Family Support Project.  All funds raised will be used to help Ukrainian Refugee families.

Project Updates:

First Successful Furniture Drive

An initiative was started to collect furniture and household items after being introduced to a couple of Ukrainian Refugee families who recently arrived in Canada. These 2 families had been waiting in a hotel for 2 months while they waited for an apartment opening. Thankfully, they were able to take possession of their apartment, but unfortunately had nothing to put in it. With just their clothes and personal belongings with them they needed support. A furniture drive was started and within one week we were able to successfully collect and deliver the donated items to these families in need.

Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters of the Furniture Drive.  We were able to support 402 families!

Our Furniture Drive has officially come to a close and we are no longer collecting furniture or household items.

**Thank you**

Thank you to all who attended and supported the Ukrainian Dinner Fundraiser.
